Selepas download & install new kernel, pada kebiasaannya kita akan membuang old kernel. Fedora tidak akan membuang old kernels selepas install kernel yang baru. Tetapi kita boleh membuang old kernels secara manual melalui terminal (root access).
Cara yang saya nak tunjukkan ialah dengan menggunakan yum-utils.

[root@localhost /]# yum install yum-utils
Running transaction
Installing: yum-utils ######################### [1/1]
Installed: yum-utils.noarch 0:0.2-2.fc4
Complete!
[root@localhost /]# [...]

Canon tak sediakan driver untuk linux. Pada sesiapa yang mengalami masalah untuk install printer Pixma IP1000 dlm Fedora, ini ada langkah-langkah menyelesaikan masalah driver.
1. Download fail bjfilter-common-2.50-2.i386.rpm dan bjfilter-pixmaip1000-2.50-2.i386.rpm.
2. Dlm terminal taip ini:
rpm -ivh bjfilter-common-2.50-2.i386.rpm
rpm -ivh bjfilter-pixmaip1000-2.50-2.i386.rpm
3. Kemudian restart CUPS
service cups restart
4. Add printer melalui http://localhost:631
* Pastikan berada pada root access.
