Facebook Image Recognition Ads
Do you notice that Facebook is doing contextual ads triggered by images on the page? Notice the ads of FreeBSD on the right side and the two girls pic on the left side. The ads match objects in the photo. This is awesome.

That is interesting. I never noticed.
image recognition in fb? cool! there’s a trick on doing this kind of search through google image, rite? look for similar faces or object.. cant remember where i saw people doing this.
anyway, if fb implement face recognition, it would be awesome.. imagine you can tag a face, then ask facebook to search that face in all their photo database.. there’s no where to hide, man..
i heard about this ‘face recognition’ technology was being developed secretly somewhere in last year.. then i heard a rumour that facebook is ‘going’ to implement it first, but seems like Apple is quite fast by implementing it in the latest iPhoto in iLife 2009, face recognition throughout the whole library, then group it so you can view photos by persons name. cool!
dude, i think google picasaweb dah lama jgk ada face recognition.
+ picasa for mac pun release sblm iPhoto 2009.
