If you migrate from linux based operating system to Mac OS X (which is also unix based os), you’ll be missed your root account. It is because “root” user is disabled by default because it’s so special. But you can enable your “root” account in Mac OS X.

1. Download Huawei USB Driver.
http://homepage.mac.com/timhaigh/E220_Drivers.zip
2. Make sure your huawei not connected with your machine. Install driver MacDriver(2.7)-intel.pkg
3. Plug-in your huawei USB.
4. Go to “System Preferences / Network / Location / Edit Locations” and add a new location named “HSDPA” for example.
5. Select Huawei Mobile. Add new configuration, example “Celcom”.
